About Louise Dunn
Louise Dunn holds a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA, the nation’s oldest college of acupuncture and oriental medicine. This comprehensive three year, full time program involved both Western and Eastern Medical studies.
Louise’s training involved acupuncture and herbal medicine internships in a variety of settings including Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, MA, Lynn Elder Services, Winchester Hospital Family Health Center in Wilmington, MA, and Boston Medical Center’s in-patient Pediatric Unit and out-patient Adolescent Unit where she treated children ranging in age from a few days old to teenagers.
Louise is a licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, the same board that certifies and licenses physicians in Massachusetts, and is certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Louise practices a Chinese style of acupuncture and uses a combination of acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and essential oils in her treatments. She has pursued advanced training with experienced clinicians in adult and pediatric Chinese herbal medicine. She is a general practitioner with a special interest in women’s health and children’s wellness.
Louise is also a practitioner of Nambrudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET®). NAET is a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types, including food, environmental and chemical allergies. NAET® was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in 1983. It uses a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine. Louise has been personally trained by Dr. Nambudripad in this unique discipline.
